We’re so excited to share another favorite pinner in our new series. Her name is Lianna and her eye is impeccable. Do you follow her? We think you should! We asked Lianna to tell us a little bit about herself and asked, What are a few of your most favorite recent pins?
Lianna Lissauer was born and raised in New York City. She moved to New England several years ago to restore a 1740′s farm with her husband and 4 children, beginning an epic adventure with equal parts wonder and mishap. The daughter of a Broadway producer and a curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lianna spent her childhood running loose in the halls of the Museum and backstage on Broadway.
Her background in the fine arts and design has led her to work in a variety of fields including fashion, interior design, prop styling, and production design. She has just opened an online shop, LIANNA BOHEME, which specializes in vintage and handmade clothing and decor. Lianna is working on a forthcoming blog, “The Kindred Table,” which she hopes will connect her love for writing, cooking, gardening, and country life with personal narratives and anecdotes from her unusual past.
It was scenes just like this one that inspired us several years ago to live out our dream and move to a farm. I’m always amazed at how the landscape here in New Hampshire is so similar to that of the UK— it really does look like a “New” England! Now that planting season is in full swing here and we are spending countless hours digging in the dirt, images like this are great motivation to keep up the hard work!
Oh this kitchen! With it’s immediate sense of warmth and welcome, I can easily imagine spending hours here cooking with friends and family. We have recently been immersed in the daunting task of remodeling our farmhouse kitchen, and images like this one were at the very heart of our design approach.
What could be sweeter for spring than this floral bubble playsuit with Peter Pan collar? I love the timelessness of Liberty prints. My mother carefully packed away the Liberty of London dresses I had as a child, and now my daughter wears them. I plan to keep up the tradition, saving them for her children to wear someday. It has become a wonderful way for our family to connect the generations.
I’m smitten with beautiful lightweight blouses like this one for spring and summer. Timeless, classic, and just a bit bohemian, the trend towards whites, sheers, and lace reminds me of Victorian and Edwardian garden party dresses. It’s wonderful to see these styles revived today in a way that reflects the beauty and femininity of those eras.
